Any ideas for solution?

Sure. 1. Don't bring in anyone that does not have a verifiable background. 2. Risk being politically incorrect and check their social media history (This alone would have saved 14 American lives if this was performed on the San Bernadino shooter on a finacee visa). 3. Because the verification process should be rigorous to keep Americans safe, instead of importing these people, let's support the Egyptian Billionaire that proposed to buy a Greek island(s) and spend whatever it would take to help them with infrastructure, food , shelter, etc. to build their own society. They do not care to assimilate into western society and wish to bring sharia law into western society, so let them create their own rules/laws over their. This is just a start....

Checking social media is basically what the NSA already does. Are you suggesting sending people in America to a Greek island or diverting newcomers there? But either way, under what grounds would you do that, because I am not sure the constitution could allow that.

I'm suggesting not bringing more newcomers here without being absolutely certain of their ideological mindset. Since this is very difficult to determine, how about diverting the substantial resources that we would spend on transporting them here plus the cost of housing, medical, food, shelter, education, training, etc. (the list of responsibilities and expenses in bringing them here would be exhaustive) and instead provide for them over there. Same cost to our government (actually the taxpayers) without the additional worries of possible violence (let's be realistic) or drain on our already constrained government agencies.
Problem solved? It's not quite that simple, but I for one would take this scenario in a heartbeat before potentially compromising our national security by trying to help people.
How would you feel if you or a loved one was affected by violence caused by people that we're trying to help?

You keep saying 'them', which doesn't mean anything. And as you say, if you cannot determine anyone's ideological mindset, then you are proposing to halt all immigration into America. You then talk about diverting the substantial costs of transporting/bringing 'them' here.. What transportation costs? And to whom..

The NSA checks social media of Americans which, I for one can live with if it keeps us safe and prevents senseless tragedies, but the administration DOES NOT check social media for visa applicants for fear of offending the applicants; hence the San Bernadino shooter that came in on a fiancée visa could have been stopped before coming here (she pledged jihad on social media in the past).

I did not suggest expelling migrants currently here to this island, just the hundreds of thousands that Obama wants to bring here and any others still over there. It is much closer to home for them. They can have their sharia law or for that matter, any laws they deem necessary OVER THERE....and not destroy this country by assaulting their hosts and declaring jihad on our turf. Simple, eh?

The NSA is in the interest of national security but its data collection is absolutely global for that effort. Also, the FBI Director stated "We have found no evidence of a posting on social media by either of them.” Also, you haven't stated what the requirements are for sending migrants to this penal island. It's unlikely any condition could allow for it under any human rights law. You seem to be confusing migrants and refugees. All of this overlooks the radicalization of American citizens, but only 3 out of hundreds of mass shootings in 2015 were committed by a Muslim suspect. The majority were Christian men.

Perhaps they may, but that is besides the point and does not remotely address the point of (say it along with me OUT LOUD) "Radical Islamists" that raped over 100 Germans this New Years Eve, the Paris attackers or the San Bernadino killers. You okay with that?

Over 100 atrocious ACTS of R - A -P -E and over 1000 other ASSAULTS were committed by "refugees," migrants, or whatever your PC self wants to call them in Colgne, Germany on NEW YEAR'S EVE alone. Draw your own conclusion as to whether they are all or mostly muslim or not. It matter not.
Keep your burying your head in the sand, it's okay. I hope that you and your loved ones are not harmed by violence caused by these wonderful folks that Obama is bringing here in droves.

This meme is not commenting on the internment of Japanese Americans during WWII. The issue is that Obama wants to bring in over 100,000 muslim immigrants (some refugees & some aren't) into this country. I know that it is difficult for many folks on the Left to verbalize the term: Radical Islam but it is what it is. Anything short of that is like trying to put lipstick on a pig. No pun intended. There were over 1,000 assaults in Cologne, Germany on New Years Eve (over 100 Sexual Assaults) by muslim immigrants. The atrocities will continue as long society is willing to tolerate it. How tolerant are you?

The point is that saying that all people of a certain race or religion are going to behave a certain way is leading down a very dark path.
0 ups, 8y
As we all know, it is not all or even most people of this particular religion that are blood thirsty or violent. That having been said, can we agree that there is a disproportionate amount of shootings, stabbings, suicide bombers, bombings in general, r-a-p-e-s and other violence being perpetrated by members of said religion?

The perception of all Japanese as the enemy that must be interned is the parallel I am pointing out.
0 ups, 8y
I know a few Japanese Americans whose family members were interned. Viewing history in the rear view mirror, we can see with 20-20 vision. I'm sure that we can agree that none of those detained were a detriment to our national security and in retrospect, perhaps FDR later regretted the decision, I don't know. Our problem then was with a nation that declared war on the U.S., not a race or religion.

Today's issue is not with a nation, rather a group of people from one religion that are difficult to identify which are the good ones (many) and which ones wish to harm or kill us based on their warped ideology. Since they are not willing to raise their hands and identify themselves as jihadists when we ask them, we need to be very cautious before admitting more people of said religion into this country. I'm not saying none. I'm saying we need to proceed with extreme caution. Better yet, let's consider helping them emigrate to that Greek island which is closer to home so that they can live by whatever laws suit them instead of changing our society and laws to meet their needs here. As an added benefit, the proximity over there would lend itself closer and easier to move back to their respective countries when (and if) their countries ever become stable again.

Other than being a hero to the Left, I'm not sure what bringing George Takei adds to the conversation. I do believe that the reason (right or wrong) that FDR's administration interned Japanese Americans that were already living here after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, was that they did not know who could be trusted, whether or not any were spys for Japan or would commit acts of terror within our society. I know how ugly that sounds, but at least we had a president that was concerned with National Security! The current Commander-In-Chief apparently sees zero risks involved in bringing in a couple hundred thousand migrants that by and large hate western society and are looking to change it more to their liking. Do you see any problem with that?
