Exactly, if it was true it would be evolutionary law. You need to take a look at the laws of thermodynamics and mendellian law of heredity to drop those evolutionary scales off your eyes.

Anything that cannot be proved under controlled conditions must remain a theory, it does not mean that it is not valid. Avagadro's hypothesis is the classic example, in fact although it cannot be demonstrated under laboratory conditions it is obviously undeniable. The creation story doesn't have that going for it. Mendel's work neither proves nor disproves anything, can you enlighten me on the relevance of thermodynamics?

2nd law of thermodynamics. Everything moves to disorder. Meaning that you can't make people from monkeys.

I thought, from what I remember of the laws of thermodynamics, that they couldn't have been relevant to this argument. I was right. Thermodynamics concerns the transfer of energy in the form of heat. Not the construction of an ideology based upon the literal interpretation of an, at best, unsubstantiated collection of writings.

Seems like we are both firmly entrenched in our ideology. Good luck with that.

Sorry Mr Boomer but it is not me that needs to cross his fingers. I am not "entrenched" I am totally open to any and all counter arguments. Give me one.

Where does your hope lie beyond a long dirt nap?

Hope for what? My contentment comes from making a good marriage and living a good life. I am not that arrogant as to believe that my "soul" is important or significant enough to endure for eternity.

Why else would you or could you exist if only for your own purposes of contentment? That seems arrogant to me. The creation presupposes a creator. My soul is not important of myself. Each and everyone of us are significant because we are intentional individual creations of an almighty God whom we can acknowledge or not at our own benefit or peril.

I didn't choose to exist, but I do choose to survive. Again your argument starts to collapse because you state your beliefs as incontrovertible fact. You start to use the words creation and creator which is where you began, just because you choose to believe it does not and never can make it fact.

You are presupposing your existence. Quite a stretch of faith. Every effect has a cause. I don't think that is presupposition. The expanse and complexity of the observed universe declare the fact of God. It is not my belief that makes it real. And it is not my choice. It's Him choosing all who will acknowledge and love Him.

I actually agree with this, even though I disagree with evolution. Someone who believes in evolution can still believe in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. However, evolution and Biblical innerancy are mutually exclusive.
