Oh ok. I thought you were callin me out on a repost. I try not to but I caught somethin simialar on facef**k yesterday and decided to share in my own way. But is anything original any more? It was funny...
Nah, I wouldn't do that... I find it kind of petty when that's done. If its an unimaginative repost, I just don't vote or comment. You might want to consider posting that live or memorpost... that's pretty funny!
Thats what I like about comments, alot o memes come from them. And we do get alot of pretty good threads in the comments. Just as if not more entertaining than a meme itself. Its like the meme is a starting point.
Theres quite afew memers I like to follow for that reason. And if I get a good stream of o one of my memes...its not about upvotes n front page, its a bunch of us tryin to outdo or upstage eachother. Im learning this now. Gotta cause I dont make front page alot.
I don't know that its as much upstaging as feeding off one another to take it all to another level. Like the original snl cast or when you see 2 or 3 good bands on stage together. I always try to leave comments on the ones I really like, to encourage the maker, and hopefully that people will stop to view the meme and see what I saw in it.
Yeah. Maybe upstage wasnt the right word...but yeah its fun making eachother laugh. We're all from all over the place but what keeps us together is a common meme ground if you will.
Thank you...I told someone that awhile back, that I try to submit memes that are open for comments or even provoke a comment thread...that's one of the keys to a great meme..I'm not above a repost, whether intentional or unintentional, but I definitely try to keep 'em original more often than not...
Agreed, and it is an art form in a way, matching the words to an image in a way that is engaging. You and Socrates just have a great knack of doing it consistently, but there are plenty of others who I look forward to seeing their submissions in the new releases. I love getting to those 1st, its a little like being that 1st guy to paint the mustache on the Mona Lisa. :)
