Not all southerners are ignorant or inbred...and many like me can talk that twang with everybody but also speak English as well as any Yankee when we need to...I sure you've seen people before that spoke perfect English in a professional capacity but when they get around their buddies or family that street slang comes shining through

Hey bro.. I'm from the island of newfoundland. .the most hick province where the fisherman there need subtitles too. You would have a hard time understanding my relatives there. lol. Memes make light of the extreme. My slang changes when i visit! Lmao!

When I moved from California to the midwest I had to slow my speech down or people would have trouble understanding me. I'm not at all saying that people here think slow don't get me wrong. It's something about the cadence of speech not about intelligence. Now my family in California says I have an accent and I can't hear it myself lol.
