I rather doubt they could pose much of a threat even if they wanted to. As for Muslims outside the US, the threat is greatly exaggerated, and we have only ourselves to blame for it in any case. Not a fan of the emo right, but I do think that people who think it can't happen in the U.S. are naive. The trumpenchangers fear an islamic takeover because they know first hand how people can be herded into harmful, self destructive movements. In their way, they're subconsciously trying to keep from jumping from the frying pan into the fire. Because of the false dichotomy of "liberal" and "conservative", you're having the reaction of automatically dismissing everything they say, but in this they are right just like "liberals" are right when they say tolerating racism will lead the way to extremists rather than just balanced preference. It's exactly the same principle. You might want to heed their warnings about viral religion because they know how it works from personal experience.
