That's messed up. A fine for stating a fact?

Correct, under a recently passed update to NYC human rights law, 'intentionally misgendering' someone, or not using their requested 'gender pronouns' carries a fine up to $125,000. A business who has male/female dress/appearance rules that would prevent someone who identifies as a non-natural gender from presenting the way they choose carries up to a whopping $250,000 fine.

But he's still got a dick. He should be fined for misrepresenting himself until he loses the dick. After that I will gladly call him a woman. A really ugly woman.

Even if he gets it cut off, he's still a man. I could still only call him a eunuch at best.

Except in a business setting, where it can count as harassment, any attempt to enforce this can and should be stuck down as an unconstitutional violation of the first amendment. Free speech even includes speech I, or anyone else, disagrees with. This is why attempts to limit speech, even "hate speech" are problematic. Liberals want to define any speech they disagree with as hate speech, to make it illegal.

I'm just waiting for this to get challenged, there is almost no way it wont be struck down, but we are still in the obama era. Or maybe the LGBTQCHWhatever craze will go away and we can just move on as a society.

I foresee an episode of "Law & Order SVU" about this.
