No it's literally the SAME diety. It's easy for non-muslims to dispute it as a matter of convenience but it's the same GOD. Muslim, jew and Christian worship the same God. Call him/her/it Allah, God, Elohim....whatever....same god...same God

Negative.. and you will never get a christian organization to agree with you on that. Allah had no son.. he had a prophet. Ideology is not close. It may be another name for a diety.. but not the same by muslim or christian standards.

In the verses of both text is the proof. Ideology is not the same ... not close. If you want proof... go to a mosque in the ME and tell the Imam his God Is The same As the Christian God. Good luck keeping your head attached! ;)

I don't need to. It's a well known and documented fact. And I know Muslims (personal friends) and have had this talk before. It's the same God.

Here's a nice little chart comparing the 3 Abrahamic religions that share the same God. http://christianityinview.com/xncomparison.html

No christian organization.. aside from some hole in the wall church.. will agree with you.. i don't care if you know mohammed himself. No major Christian faith agrees with that. Not pentecostals, catholic, anglican.. etc. No links to a website where some guy expresses an opinion will change my mind. I am a practicing Christian.. my daughter married a pastor who has a degree in business and theology. . We've had this discussion. Not same God by any standard of any practicing christian. I am puzzled why u would even suggest that.

because it's the truth....I learned it in Catholic school and college. I know a Pastor as well and many muslims. I know Jews as well. It's actually something I bring up with them as a way to bridge the gap and ask the question "why can't the three abrahamic religions get along better since they worship the same God" All agree.

I'm actually quite surprised you think otherwise. It's a documented accepted fact.

Now- is the entire thing a bunch of BS all together? Probably. Since man worships invisible men in the sky. Sounds silly to fight over whose is the right one.

But they are all worshiping the same God of the Hebrews. Leave it man to frig up the invisible men they worship and make them seem to be different.

No bro.. it's a diety in a different language. Sorry.. not same God. That's a great deception I will never buy.

Lol...ypu don't have to buy it. It's a fact. Not believing it doesn't make it not true. I don't have a dog in this race. (Is that rhe phrase?) The fact people can argue about invisible men in the sky is laughable in all contexts.

Well.. If you're not a believer.. how can you maintain its the same God?

I am basing my statement on what religious scholars say.

The Pope tens to think so.
http://www.patheos.com/blogs/formerlyfundie/yes-christians-and-muslims-worship-the-same-god-but-heres-what-that-means-doesnt/

Good book: http://www.amazon.com/Allah-Christian-Response-Miroslav-Volf/dp/0061927082

In this book Volf relies primarily on the resources of Christian theology (and only secondarily on philosophy) to argue that mainstream Christians and normative mainstream Muslims worship the same God. Acknowledging worship of a common God does not rule out significant differences between the two groups: Volf is NOT in the "all religions are basically the same" camp. When Christians and Muslims hold the belief that they worship a common God AND follow the ethical precepts of that God, summed up as loving God and loving neighbor, then they have a strong basis from which they can pursue peace and the common good with each other.

Not my church bro. ;) im not sure what a religious scholar is exactly, but anything that differs with the teachings of a denomination is an opinion.. not a solid fact. But.. you can meme about it and get some opinions going .. mine won't change. Be interesting all the same . I know no one who is a regularly practicing christian who would agree with that.. I'm not sure if all atheist would agree with that. I think all would agree that different languages have different names for a diety.. but it in no way is the same God.

If you want, I can give you an e-mail address I don't really use anymore, and one of your muslim friends can e-mail me about what he thinks of God and Allah. My reply will show him that he and I don't think we worship the same God/god (in his case). There. You have a chance to prove me wrong. Wanna take it?

but his opinion will be his and your will be yours. His will be right and based on facts and yours will be wrong and based on what you think and feel....but still. It would be pointless. You obviously don't want to consider facts in your opinions. That's cool. Because Bible. That's the ever-present answer to all Christian conundrums. "Because Bible"

The Q'ran (if that's how it's spelled) says the sun sets in a swamp. That's totally a fact all right. ;)
The Bible says the life is in the blood, and it was written long before scientists found that out. The Bible proved wrong what was thought to be science, that letting blood can balance your humors and cure sickness.

I feel the love of God every day. The proof is in my life. I've been in several muslim countries and seen the dark side of Islam.

I'm 100% certain if I were to discuss Yahweh and Allah with a Muslim, we wouldn't agree on a whole lot about the God we believe in.

I'm assuming you don't know any Muslims. I do. and we have had that conversation. We agree it's the same God. We have to. Because it's a fact.

According to what I believe, God gave his son, Jesus (Who was and is God himself), to die for man's sin. God despises what Muhammad taught. He wants to save the world, not force it into submission. If I said that to a Muslim, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't agree with me.

You believe what you believe....they believe what they believe....you think you know what they believe....and vice versa. In the end you're all worshiping an invisible man in the sky.

Believing your invisible man loves you the most makes you feel good. That's nice. There were invisible men (and women) before this one. And in all likelihood there will be more after. And man (real man...human people) will make them up to suit THEIR needs just like they always have.

Well, when we're both dead, I'll be happy, and you won't. You have an opportunity to be saved, so don't waste it.
Also, the Bible is actually a whole lot more reasonable than ancient myths and the like. It has evidence backing it up.

How do you know you'll be happy? Because the Bible tells you so?

I had to chuckle at your line: "the Bible is actually a whole lot more reasonable than ancient myths and the like. It has evidence backing it up."

I am happy you find comfort in your religion.

For devout Christians the "proof" of the bible IS the bible for the most part. There is very little if any outside documents backing up any of it.
I know you'll never look at this but I just came across it: https://edwardmd.wordpress.com/2013/09/18/the-real-truth-about-religion-and-its-origins/
