You have to have the image made already, and then you click Show embed codes, then copy and paste the BBCode(forums), and delete everything before and including the [img] so that it starts with http:, and also delete everything after and including the [img] so that it ends with .jpg

I don't see how it's really useful, though. Because you can just make a meme comment instead, which seems better to me than the "click to show" option. The only way I see it coming in handy is if you've been temporarily barred by imgflip from doing meme comments. The click to show is an interesting novelty, but not much else.

Yeah, but I like to use templates that aren't custom but aren't in the "most popular" list, so I have to make my meme and then put a link to it in the text. I see people link completely unrelated memes all the time, and I don't want to be grouped in with "those people," you know what I mean?

If it helps you or makes you happy to be able to do it, I think that's great, even though personally I still don't see an advantage above just making a meme comment.
