I love that story also, but the kid does chop it down so I mean it does kinda seem fair after all....

I know right? That kid is kinda an asshole lol I honest to goodness cry every time I read it to the kids. When you get to the part where the tree is shaking with joy and says "Come boy...." I'm a wreck lol The kids will shake their heads at me. That's kinda assholy too lol UH! ;-)

That damn Shell Silverstein lol. I know exactly how you feel. The best thing that guy did for kids is that one story where there is some creature up your nose and if you pick it, it will bite your finger lmao! Seriously though big ups to you for reading to your kids, it seems that is another thing this technological world is leaving behind and that is as sad as the giving tree!
