I'm not saying its good when a cop shoots an innocent person, its just seems so small compared to the other stuff

An armed society is a polite society. When you remove all the power from the people, when you make defending one's self a crime, OF COURSE you HAVE to rely on the gubmint to wipe your ass.

The problem with our "police force" is outside the Sheriff's office, all the "policing" done is done by city hire not by election of the people. That removes all accountability TO the people. It removes the power OF the people. If a Sheriff acts in a way that the people do not like he will likely lose his office in the next election. If a Police Chief behaves in ways that the people don't like ... tough. Short of there being an uprising with torches and pitchforks he'll be staying, especially if he is protecting the interests of the local politicians.
Now we have city police dressed like SWAT or military. We have city police getting tanks.
Little wonder we are in the shape we are in.

Its funny how people that enjoy leaving their homes in relative safety, have so much hate for those that make it possible to do so.

And for good reason. How can a man sleep at night while carrying out the asinine edicts of bureaucrats like this? This old man, continues to allow himself to be arrested for feeding the homeless. Anyone who is willing to do the bidding of a government who would arrest this man is in my opinion not worthy of my respect. I do NOT appreciate them ... no, I don't.
I do not appreciate men who kill homeless people for existing in places (like public lands). I do not appreciate it when family members call the police to help them with a mentally ill family member and that family member ends up dead. I do not appreciate seeing innocent people being murdered. These "law men" do not represent the interest of the people. They are sociopathic.
IF, the officers who are not sociopathic would stop defending the ones who are ... maybe they would gain the respect of America again. Until then, well, I reckon they will have to boohoo with each other at the policeman's ball. lol
I don't mean that to sound aggressive at you. I'm sorry. But since I am one of the "people" who do not appreciate men and women in uniform like I used to ... I felt like I fit the bill of your comment. :-) I don't like that being the case, but it definitely is for me.

In Iceland, the police HAD to kill someone for the first time in over a decade, and they made an apology to the entire country. Some countries just have trigger-happy cops. What can you do?

Most police in York County rarely hold up their guns, and I've never heard of a case where a cop had to open fire.

It is not the fact that they "oops, I shot an innocent person". The ones we are seeing are actually murder. They are murder that has been filmed and then justified and attempts to be covered up.

This one is a different story. Brown was clearly a crazy, aggressive criminal trying to kill a police officer. But most are not like this. I have seen too many videos of outright assassinations of people either in custody or being taken into custody.

Yes. I do agree that there are bad cops and legitimate cases of excessive force. I am tired of the mass protests over cases that don't deserve it.

This was my take on the situation. I believe it should be federal law for all officers to carry non-lethal means of protection. It doesn't matter if you're 400 pounds, you get hit with a tazer, your butt is going down.
