The same thing happened to me, I had to reset my password via email to get back in.

The thing is that my account's email changed, so I can't reset my password. Acuity told me to email general@imgflip with the email I registered my imgflip account (imgflip.com/i/uu4mb), but I can't send emails with that specific email.

I am also taking a break till arguments over politics and reposts are over.

Did you try sending a copy of the email address (which you would not necessarily have to send from the actual account)? No guarantee that would work for your situation though.
