It was my point. Because for a start, both republicans and democrats have almost exactly the same political program. Politically, they would be easily considered as two wings of the same party than like two different parties. For example, in Britain at this moment, inside the Labor party you have bigger differences ideologically than between republicans and democrats. And everywhere in Europe, left wing actually means some version of Social Democrats or Neo Marxist parties. So in fact, you are arguing over nothing, and both republicans and democrats will do the same thing in 90% of the cases when they gain power... Even if they say they won't, they lie, like Obama lied about changing american foreign politics after Bush and than he continued the same. And considering lobbies that pay your politicians campaigns and your politicians actions when they're elected, they are not working for you, ordinary people, in fact, they're just manipulating you with few ideological 'liberal - conservative' differences and leading you into useless wars (useless for you, not for the lobbies behind them), and keeping you more or less underpaid and ripped of by big corporations. And in the end, instead of actually, voting for some third kind of party because both republicans and democrats are bad to the bone, you become a passionate advocate of the party and help it to make your life worse.
