Let's not forget the tax payers money was also used to back Saddam Hussein and to arm the Taliban. So yeah.. I don't think the American govt can be trusted with tax payers money anymore..

We've been paying for peace since WW2. It doesn't seem to work out to well.

Al Qaeda groups were funded by the CIA. They morphed into ISIS.

Actually further back than that. Al Queada originated in the Muja Hidin when the Russians were occupying Afghanistan. They were part of a proxy war in which we financed them against the Russians, costing them so much money that it was a big part of the breakup of the Soviet Union. Instead of learning that lesson and ending this quickly, we are falling into the same trap Russia did.

That is true, but US is not falling into any kind of trap in Iraq... That was unjustified invasion which resulted in more than million people killed during it and in years after, and is probably the main cause for the uprise of ISIS. So, US officials should be convicted for that and the US, and the rest of the world should learn something from that and stop mingling in the issues in other countries.

You are leaving out the facts that UN resolution after UN resolution was violated pre-invasion. Also the fact that Hussein was purposely creating counter-intelligence as to his weapons capabilities. All this after having invaded Kuwait and systematically dismantling a country and executing its people. To call it "unjust" is just ignoring all the history prior to the invasion. The US has indeed fallen into the whole middle east trap, dumping money and lives all over the middle east. The world needs to either get out and let them go at it, or go in and clean it up once and for all.

The US lead corporations to earn loads of money in the middle east, it is the US citizens who fell in that trap because it is them who lost their money and some of them their lives, for believing your government's propaganda. And not to mention that the people in the middle east lost. They lost their homes, their lives, their families. More than a million of the in the Iraq alone. If you wanna remind be on the invasion of Kuwait then I'll remind you on the Saddam's invasion in Iran, invasion which was supported by the US. So again, the US supports the criminals and later fights them. (The same with Al Qaeda and ISIS). Unjust means that simply that the US had no business there, even if the UN did allow it, which wasn't the case. The invasion wasn't allowed by the UN just as the one in Afghanistan wasn't approved by the US congress. So your politicians obviously, do not care about the opinion of your people, or the international law. So, than, you should ask yourself, who do they care about? Who gained something from these invasions? Well, weapons industry, oil industry, and your elites who wanna dominate the middle east. The supposed biochemical weapons in Iraq were never found. You can talk about Saddam doing this or that, it was an illegal invasion which never found the things it was justified with. So, it's an aggression. And it's a crime. And people should damn right be convicted for that, because more than a million of people died during the invasion and in the following years. And not to mention that Obama, which was supposed to bring change, continues the same politics as Bush. So, your politicians obviously don't wanna get out of this trap...

A total isolationist policy wouldn't hurt my feelings a bit. I'm totally okay with keeping our people, our money and our resources at home. Its not practical but it would be nice. I am curious where you are from though, seems that you have a lot of anger towards the US.

I don't have any anger towards the US, I am angry at the injustice and especially if it isn't recognised as one. I am also very angry about China's politics towards Tibet and Uighurs, Russian towards the Ukraine and Chechnya, Turkish politics towards the Kurds, Israeli with Palestinians, etc... Just that the US is the biggest military power at the moment, and this was a meme about that. And it's mostly westerners here on this site, there isn't any use to talk about the other political topics here. I am from Bosnia and Herzegovina, a country in the Balkans. From Europe, basically.

Well you have certainly seen your share of unrest and instability. I always find it interesting to hear opinions from the other part of the world even if we don't entirely agree.
