How can you call that a repost? That line about the clouds is a popular phrase you didn't invent, and the memes have nothing in common apart from that.

How does two people using the same popular phrase in two entirely contexts (one serious, one funny) mean that one reposted from the other?

And it's not surprising at all that one of the popular templates produces more upvotes than a unique uploaded image.

The whole discussion about reposts is dumb to begin with. The whole point of memes is to be reposted - just like the whole point of a joke is to be retold, or the whole point of an idea is to be spread to different people.
