I have never seen a trailer that didn't give me enough info on whether the movie was crap or not. And the three so far for TFA are enough for me to gauge the film. Not to mention knowing how instead of adapting a story from the EU as a film they picked what they liked from the EU and did what they do with Marvel. A mash-up of the source materials.

I actually don't like how comics get rebooted the way they do. I hated Ultimate Marvel. It's lazy writing to take something successful and change it around to what you would have done. If you want to make a movie off of an existing franchise copying it would be a better move than altering it. Watchmen was almost perfect. So, I'm still against the Disney owning Star Wars ordeal.

I'm also pointing out a lot of flaws with their version from the trailers and any info that's out there. That should be a sign to you that they hurriedly made a 200 million dollar fan fiction. :)

And no, 3 days isn't long enough to go through and read all of someone's memes and comments to gauge their character.

3 film trailers that comprise of almost 5 minutes of footage from a film does however give me enough to gauge the film. If the five minutes they've shown hasn't impressed me at all, then how will another 150 minutes of the same thing/style do any better? Not to mention that I already know that it doesn't tie into the EU.

And you're still wrong. The first three films(OT) were before the EU. But the second three films(PT) used the EU. GL wasn't "beholden" to the EU for the PT, but he did use it. And the PT didn't disregard the EU or make it less canon than it was. The PT barely affected the EU. TFA totally affects the EU. So yeah, I'm still right on this. You're still misinterpreting.

And no I don't have to agree that the EU isn't based off of the OT. That's exactly what it's inspired by. And GL did use a bunch of EU stuff in the prequels. The other colors for lightsabers, the action vi transports, all kind s of species, etc.

And again no, the issue isn't that they didn't use GL's scripts. It's that they didn't use the EU.
