I'll add when I did stand up comedy, this one was always a big laugh at bars, because it was true observation on my part. Plus I didn't need to use foul language to accomplish that goal.
it may be a heart issue. I am a believer as well. I was in a Christian fraternity. I also lead a ministry at a bar. . . If we can't laugh at ourselves, you have to ask yourself why . . . big fan of john acuff "stuff Christians like" btw. You should read it if you haven't already.
