I was going to suggest you post this meme.. then I realized it was too "deep" for the uninformed who know more about reality TV programming than current events. Some of these down voters think Obama is going to start his 3rd term...

My pet peeve is when people say "you're a bigot/bigoted" as if that just settles everything and they don't have to examine the issue anymore.

I always ask them for the definition of "racist" or "bigot", I've never had anyone who's able to yet!!

Bigot / racist etc.. is code for: "I can no longer defend my stance on the issue, so I will divert the conversation with an accusation that labels you unfair by the liberal political correctness standard"

Unless you are in a remote area.. why carry "open"... unconcealed is not correct term. Open carry isd an "in your face invitation to trouble", an that's not a color thing. It's called a CCW license for a reason.. "concealed carry". Your statement is not logically motivated..

Semantics has everything to do with logic.. your original statement of "being black and carrying unconcealed" is just a loosely based statement that has no other logic or reasoning behind it. . "Try being black" is not relevant .. to the open carry scenario you tossed into the equation. Where do people open carry (unconcealed) where color affects is the determining factor you are suggesting with the "Try being" part of your statement? Do you have any idea how many variables you left out.. not to mention that open carry invites controversy unless in a remote area. There is a big difference in "unconcealed" in Alaska.. vs Chicago.

I think you're misinterpreting what is being said about white privilege and gun ownership in America. I'm just having trouble understanding where the idea behind this meme came from.

Thanks for looking at, and commenting on my meme. The idea came from the Charleston church shooting. In the heat of passion following the incident, many on the left wanted to "disarm all white people". You can google, but here is one reference:

I totally disagree with the disarmament of American citizens,regardless of race. As a citizen you have a constitutional right to bear arms in order to protect yourself from any person or government that would oppress you and deny you if your rights. And I while I do believe in the social phenomena of white privilege, I am vigorously against any American citizen being denied the right to legally possess arms.
