Before I answer your question, and I'm not trying to stall, I'm just saying. If you admit you don't know how the universe was made, then shouldn't you call yourself an Agnostic? Because you just said You Know that You Don't Know.
Now anyway, these are both interesting questions. The first question for instance, has been asked by many. And it does take a stretch more faith to believe. But if you ask a question like "Who created God", then an God like the one I believe in, had to have been created by an even Bigger God. But then, where did that one come from? An even Larger God. So if you think like this, you'll come up with an infinite amount of Gods who created each God down the line. Eventually, you'd have to come up with one All Powerful God. So it makes more sense to believe in one All Powerful God who has always Existed. It takes a stretch of Faith to believe it, but I do.
