Double Standard

I just searched up "Double Standard" in the meme search.

I like this one; a better example would be comparing a Christian baker who refused service because it was going to be used in a gay wedding and a Muslim salon owner who refused service because it was going to be part of a gay wedding.

The Muslim guy was simply fired, if I recall. That's what everyone wanted to happen to Davis, but you can't actually fire an elected official.

Nah, i'm referring to a muslim airline attendant who refused to serve alcohol to passengers, who was fired, and sued the airline afterwards.

Technically, the muslim is discriminatory towards people who drink alcohol. Besides, it doesn't matter. It isn't against the law to be "discriminatory". Last time I checked, there was this thing called freedom of speech, and freedom of opinion. If a homosexual clerk refused to issue a christian marriage license, I can guarantee you that there would be no outrage, and the clerk would be free to do as she pleased.

I assure you there would absolutely be an outrage - YOU'RE A CLERK! YOUR JOB IS TO SIGN THE BLOODY LICENSE, NOT TO DECIDE WHO GETS MARRIED!

Also, I just want to laugh at this, so, you can't fire them, but you can throw them in jail? That doesn't make very much sense.

I didn't write the rules. If you take a job as a county clerk, you answer to a court - and judges have powers. That's why it's a terrible idea to violate their direct orders.

She can be impeached by a legislature, but in Kentucky they don't get back in session until January. I think calling an emergency session to impeach her sorry ass would have been the simplest approach - but far be it from me to begrudge a state legislature their lengthy vacation time.

Kim Davis CAN'T be fired except by a democratic process. Believe me, that's the first thing anyone asked for in her case.
