So in reality, his death had no actually effect on your life.

But it did on other people's lives. If someone in your family was killed, I wouldn't be affected by it, because I don't know your family. But you would be affected by it. Therefore it would still be a terrible thing.

How can you compare a human beings life to that of an animal?

We all share this earth, and you should be sensitive to those who share the earth with us. Killing animals like cows/pigs (in my opinion) can serve a purpose, because you can eat them and they're nutritious. (Of course, I support vegetarianism, I'm just saying that I'm willing to eat animals like that.) Also, those animals are quite common, so killing a few isn't harmful. But lions are endangered. They're just trying to keep their species alive. And they share the earth with us. Respect. Now I think that I'm going to stop replying to you, because even though I'll probably have an answer to every one of your questions, it's kind of a waste of my time. We've probably gotten to the point anyway where we should just let each other have our separate opinions, because it's obvious that we'll always disagree.

Considering that you don't understand that there are more animals killed by the reduction of habitable land and poaching (which is in no way the same as hunting), then you truly don't understand where the problems lie. Hunting has actually helped increase the animal populations, as poachers stay away from areas in which hunting takes places. Also when problematic animals are taken out, it actually saves more lives than not. A problematic lion would be one that is stalking a pride looking for the opportunity to take out the leader. Once the leader is taken out, then they take out all offspring of that leader to only have their blood line in the pride. If the females do not mate with him, then that whole pride will die out. So which is better, to let that one lion kill an entire pride or to kill that one lion? Legal guided hunts are set up to take out that one lion. Poaching takes out any lion they can. HUGE DIFFERENCE.
