"In communism God must be killed and replaced with the state".

...

AHAHHAHA XDDD
You cannot imagine how ridiculously stupid you sound right now. I can barely tell if you're trolling or the big black penetrative daddy adopted you and schooled you his own way.

1. Marx didn't want to "BAN" religion. He wanted to stop the extremism which literally killed the ideology's point. Want me to guarantee it? Before he dies, he was worried his 'invention' would be killed by the idiots who end up worshipping an innocent idea like a God. So he said: "If anything is certain, it is that I myself am not a Marxist". It's like Jesus Christ saying "I am not a Christian". Even John Lennon has guaranteed this.
2. Communism is subtle anarchist. There must be no states. "I hope someday you'll join us and the world will be as one".

"True communists practice atheism". DOUBLE FACEPALM.
1. Atheism cannot be practiced. How hard is it to say "I do not think there's a God out there"?
2. So you're saying you know every commie on earth? Huh.

This is the same as banning religion, if the religion's beliefs include proselytizing (and many do). So it doesn't solve the problem.
1 up, 9y,

But people don't follow religions 100%, most of the time it's because of laws and such.
2 ups, 9y,
1 reply
That doesn't change anything. There still shouldn't be an outside directive telling them how much they can follow their religion.

Also, "don't force your religion on others" is a religious view anyway. So it too shouldn't be forced on others (even from its own point of view).

It's just basically something that stupid people think.
1 up, 9y,

There's tons of outside directives telling them what to do, some of them include not being able to murder gay people and not being able to murder your child if they swear at you and not being able to murder someone who works on the sabbath.

Nobody can live by the letter of God's Law. That's why He gave us a way out through Jesus, and lets us choose on our own whether we want to accept Him or not. If you choose not to, that's your freedom- it's your life and your fate. Nobody should be able to force any beliefs on you.
0 ups, 9y
Nobody's forcing any beliefs. The person who made the OP is resisting religion being talked about as if it's true. They're just using that phrase "forcing religion" to make their own cause sound good. But if you think it through, it's self-refuting - because they're trying to have their own standard imposed on others that people shouldn't talk about religion as if it's true.
1 up, 9y
I agree with that statement 100%
1 up, 9y,

Good point. I should have been more specific. Something along the lines of "there shouldn't be unreasonable and arbitrary outside directives telling them how they can follow their religion," or similar. The ones you've mentioned are based on real and reasonable moral principles (all derived from the 6th commandment).
0 ups, 9y,
1 reply
I wouldn't say they derived from the 6th commandment because countries without Christianity still don't allow murder.
1 up, 9y,
1 reply
Regardless of the derivation, the fact that they line up with God's revealed objective moral standard proves they're not arbitrary or unreasonable.

It's a very different case than a person who comes up with the principle "forcing religion on others should be banned." What's their basis?
0 ups, 9y,

Ok, they line up with god but at a lot of times the bible contradicts itself. Just google a list of them.
0 ups, 9y,

I'm aware of those lists. People sure do love to stretch things and distort texts in order to try to prove the Bible contradicts itself. It doesn't, though.
0 ups, 9y,

I'm saying that the bible says he is a man of war and then a man of peace, that's like me saying I support gay marriage and then i hate gays.
0 ups, 9y
That's not what it necessarily means though. Did you consider any ways to harmonise those characteristics of God, before you decided it was a contradiction?
0 ups, 9y,
2 replies
How do they harmonise?
0 ups, 9y
I was asking you if you had considered ways. The burden of proof is not on me to provide an explanation. You're claiming it's a contradiction.

A contradiction means someone is affirming A and not-A at the same time in the same sense.

Did you check out any ways in which those statements could both be made meaningfully of God, or did you just read it and think it's a contradiction?

Well it does, i like this one the best.
EXO 15:3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.
ROM 15:33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
0 ups, 9y
You're leaving a huge gap, and like he said, putting things out of context. EXO is in the Old Test, in which God hadn't sent Jesus to save us, so it was much more killing. ROM is the New Test, in which Jesus had come down and made a way for EVERYONE to come to God without all those crazy sacrifices.
0 ups, 9y
Can you explain to me exactly how that's a contradiction? I don't really see it. Please remember that when the Bible talks about God it talks about him as a real being, a real character (ie, it's not just about what the words sound like to us).

Are you saying that the Apostle Paul is describing a fundamentally different God when he wrote the letter to the Romans, as Moses was describing when he wrote the book of Exodus?

This might be helpful for some. Not sure if it's true 100% of the time.

"I brushed my teeth and I washed my face" is an example of two independent clauses joined by one of the conjunctions listed above, but it doesn't seem to require a comma.

Shhhh, dude, we aren't supposed to talk about that...

By killing anyone who isn't a muslim...
cmon dude, it isn't THAT hard to understand. Thye did just shoot like, 5 U.S. Marines...
0 ups, 9y,
1 reply
Well, very few Muslims do that. There are over 1.6 billion Muslims and I think there are only 70,000 ISIS fighters.
Also, Christians haven't done less than Muslims:
1. Christians killed scientiests during the Medieval because they were "sent by the Devil".
2. Christians killed black people in America because they "didn't chose God".
3. Christians made Jews' lives harder because they wouldn't convert.
But that's just the extremists. I respect non-hypocritical and non-extremist Christians.
0 ups, 9y,

1, Then they werent Christians. The Christian Bible states many times over that murder is wrong, (and don't you dare quote stonings of the old testament, this is Christian Bible, not Jewish Torah, and such things were stopped by Jesus) and therefore these people murdering scientists were not following the bible, and Christians follow the Bible. And as for the whole Muslim thing, whereas the Bible forbids murder and such, the Koran ACTUALLY has a verse (not sure which because, im not a Muslim) that states they should kill everyone who wont convert to islamic ways. This is where terrorist groups get their inspiration, although modern "non-radical" Muslims will not acknowledge and most likely have censored such things, when I see Muslims in America protesting outside of Military Bases with signs that say "Death to Israel", i'm not very conviced :/
2. Again, similar to 1. Besides, I highly highly highly doubt that people who kept other people in those conditions were very much Christian.

Sorry, accidentally pressed comment...

2. cont. I'm not sure the Bible expressly rebukes slavery (im sure it does, but not like, every book) but it most certainly doesn't condone it... And when you beat somone up and then say "do you accept Jesus like me" I think its pretty fair to say that they weren't exactly asking their slaves if they would accept Jesus and then setting them free...

3. Not sure how to counter or where you got this, but assuming it's old (1000 AD or somewhere around then) i'm not surprised. This was the same group that made a person looking to convert to Christianity leave because he was different (an Indian man who later went on to create buddism), had a way to pay your sins away, was funded and mostly ran by extremely corrupt and evil individuals who funded it (the reason for all the naked paintings from this era, as the Bible says we shouldnt be naked like that...) and the popes/priests were also corrupt, because they ran almost everything everywhere, and power corrupts.

I understand now Muslims (in america at least) are mostly what I like to call "Muslims" Because they arent true Muslims, just like I would call the murdering racist beer-chugging guy with a cross necklace who says he knows Jesus a "Christian". Not trying to be mean, I hope you can take this information in a polite way and I hope not to start a flame war.
Cheers anyway!
