Yes, because white people need their own TV channels (like BET) their own colleges without other races (multiple) scholarships just for minorities... and this is done openly with no criticism. Business contracts are handed to minorities that aren't as qualified based on race and the same applies to jobs. I understand where they are coming from, but the fact is that quite a few people no longer live in reality.

Not true, but I get your point. Racism is real, but too often, wrongly, used to describe bigotry.

Racism implies an institution.

Discrimination implies an institution. A person can be a racist and discriminate or be a bigot and discriminate. I think a lot more people discriminate because of bigotry. The Ku Klux Klan is a racist organization. The guy at work who doesn't trust Arab looking people is more than likely just a bigot, but possibly all so a racist.

I think we'll avoid taking ethics lectures from someone who thinks that "also" is spelled "all so".

A white person usually was/is not at a disadvantage institutionally across the board in areas where whites are the majority (like in the south post Civil War) or in control. Blacks are/were. The actions of the controlling/advantaged race that are negative towards another race are then "racist" actions and the folks doing them are indeed "racists." If a white guy got jumped by a bunch of black guys, even for being white...many would hesitate to call the actions "racist," not because they are not racially motivated and very heinous....but because the actions on that one white person is not systemic and the blacks are not the advantaged/controlling race.

I know it may not make sense to some but that is basically what "racism" really is.

I was just giving you a hard time. To be honest, people can feel however they want towards anyone else. However, when you go out of your way to discriminate on someone based on their race, gender, or sexual orientation in a way that affects their life negatively, then it is a problem. But opinions are harmless as long as they are just that.

I'll be honest, I got a little fired up. I hate seeing everything labeled as racism these days. BTW I blame my use of "all so" on the a a aa a alcohol!
