1) Global Warming is not debatable. The fact that the models diverge from reality prove that the theory is wrong. The theory is WHOLLY based on the models.
2) A tree is not a human life. Logical fallacy #1. Sentience is not the basis for the right of all humans to have life. Are people who are less sentient less deserving of life? Just because shithead_muse is barely sentient doesn't give us the right to kill him. Logical fallacy #2. Abortions are routinely done on babies that are completely sentient. Simple factual error #1. If the child is a human life, and especially if it is sentient, it has the right to live, and so abortion is not just a personal choice any more than killing an adult is a personal choice. Logical fallacy #3

The argument is not when life begins, but when consciousness begins.

Wrong. Liberals always want to change the argument when they lose. When life begins, rights begin. End of story. We now know from genetics that at conception an individual life is formed. The truth is you refuse to re-examine your belief system in face of the facts.

Regarding your second point, I assume you mean this in the context of the abortion issue, correct? (If not, disregard the remainder of my comment) While life obviously starts at the moment of conception, there's a huge difference between life and sentience. I mean, trees are alive, but we don't have any issues cutting them down. At the stage of development where abortion is an option, the fetus is barely a life form, certainly incapable of thought or feeling. To me at least, abortion is completely acceptable, but I don't have anything against people who are against it (as long as they don't try to stop people who want one from getting one). In the end, it's a personal choice: if you want one, get one. If you don't agree with it, don't get one. I just think people should have the option, if they choose.

Why does it matter whether you personally have anything against abortion or not? Who are you to say people can get one if they so choose? You're not the moral standard.
