Regarding your second point, I assume you mean this in the context of the abortion issue, correct? (If not, disregard the remainder of my comment) While life obviously starts at the moment of conception, there's a huge difference between life and sentience. I mean, trees are alive, but we don't have any issues cutting them down. At the stage of development where abortion is an option, the fetus is barely a life form, certainly incapable of thought or feeling. To me at least, abortion is completely acceptable, but I don't have anything against people who are against it (as long as they don't try to stop people who want one from getting one). In the end, it's a personal choice: if you want one, get one. If you don't agree with it, don't get one. I just think people should have the option, if they choose.
