Haha, that took me a minute.

'cause it made those black people pick it all by itself, and that flag had nothing to do with it... Amazing crop ,that cotton pickin' cotton...'cause the confederate flag surely had nothing to do with a state refusing to free the slaves who had to pick the cotton... Oh, did I call someone racist. I didn't say that. But shucks, we keep forgetting that the Confederate flag stood for the independence of white people who wanted the freedom to own other humans of a different skin color. But maybe that's not what you meant by racist.

It's a conversation about iconography. One item is a representation of opinions, the other is the impetus and actual oppressive action. Which is more powerful?
