It's not as bad as drinking water with feces in it but we still warn foreigners not to drink it.

Truthfully tap water is sometimes better cause its cheaper and also regulated by the govt vs a corporation trying to earn a profit. I think that's what somebody told me one time.

Idk. From what I remember, the govt has a lot more strict regulations on how clean water is than corporations.

It's not like "government" is the federal level. It varies by city governments, and the standards and methods between them vary. "Higher standards" basically means "add a lot more fluoride for no reason" and "replace chlorine with chloramine where applicable" (chloramine REALLY sucks if you garden because it doesn't boil out, so it kills off your beneficial bacteria)

Chlorine is about the only thing that should be added...Adding fluoride is absolutely absurd
