I know waaaaaay more promiscuous (married & single) heterosexuals...they really are bringing down the institution of marriage. I also know lesbian and gay couples that have better adjusted kids than some of my straight couple friends.

A discrimination is not necessarily unfair if we have a good reason. When we prohibit children's vote it's discrimination, for example. The question is : are the reaons against gay marriage good reasons? That is where people disagree today.

I think an opinion is never a good enough reason unless it's strongly supported.

At the root of it all... Education! I just moved from a state where the functional illiteracy rate is 47%! That's a big problem that, historically, tends to serve the people in power.
