Yes, but they often risk their lives.

They risk their lives because they will get stuff in return, people don't volunteer for that sort of job.

He earned the money. Everybody would be unhappy about not getting money for the job they did.

Ok, I'm not gonna comment after this cos this is making me seem argumentative. He earned the money and then seemed credit for it, volunteer firefighters on the other hand are the true mvp's.

A lot of cops get paid crap. As for firefighters, I'd be willing to bet that the U.S. has more volunteer firefighters than paid firefighters. Just because someone gets compensated doesn't mean they wouldn't do it for free if they could. Though there are some guys that do it for the rush and the check.

Servicemen and women get compensated as well. However, the risk usually outweighs the reward.

Except for those police pigs who pull over cars for no reason and take all their money because "No normal person would have a reason to keep money in their car." Not saying this about all police, but about those who do.
