Seeing as I was born here and have always lived here, where else could I be a local to? All of our ancestors immigrated from Afro-Eurasia, anyway. It's just the time period that's different.

Nobody would care if I claimed to be 1/20 English, but if it was Native American that magically becomes unbelievable and prone to scrutiny. If your family has been in America for a while, that's more likely to happen. I mean if you can prove it somehow, I don't see what's so wrong about that claim.

Well, at a certain point it's like, "Really?" because the number has gotten so ridiculously small that if you talk about it, it's just showing off.
