The Bible says if two guys do you-know-what, stone 'em. However, that was Old Testament Law, and Jesus didn't condemn the adulteress. He actually spared her.

Yeah, but that was meant as an Israelite law to keep the people clean. It wasn't meant as a discriminatory law, or even a law for Christians to follow. The Bible does, however, say that homosexuality is worthy of death, but so is any other sin. Jesus spared the adulteress because, as he said, "May he who is without sin cast the first stone." So, in no way are we to discriminate against homosexuals.

What is really being judged? The act or the people? You can be merciful to the person, but not against the sinful act. I believe the punishments of committing sins were to both discourage people from doing them (sins) as well as to show people what righteousness looks like as opposed to what we may believe is right. I am thinking in general and not specifically to homosexuality.

Amen. There's also something along the lines of not trying to remove a splinter from your brother's eye before removing the plank from your own. True Christians recognize we are all sinners and spend a life time trying to be more Christ like. Some people warp the bible to either fit their Christian views or bash Christians. As a Christian I'd rather see every happy gay couple married than listen to someone pervert the word of the bible to further their agenda.
