I have to laugh at the 20 dislikes. They don't like it not because it's bad. They have disliked it because it points out the stupidity of something they want so desperately to believe in. Freedom to protect your life if not police near enough. With your argument govs must quit cars as well as long a lot of idiots kill people using cars and they'll tell you "what freedom do you want wen driving? Freedom to kill people? " . :)

The first amendment without the second amendment is useless, if A group of people (Government) try to take away your freedom of speech what are you going to do about it. Are you going to going to just let them do it, are you then going to let them dictate your life. Just because this is America doesn't mean since it happened in German,Russia,France,China and etc doesn't mean it wont happen here....

But are the USA taking away your freedom of speech right now? No. And if they start, there will be war. Countries with good morale standpoints will start fighting them, and other countries will join in the take down the USA. And don't say that you want the guns to stop that war from needing to happen, because you using the guns if they take your free speech will start that war anyway. As for Washington, yes, a Englishman who invaded Native Americans and estabilished a goverment in their property without their permisson can REALLY talk about freedom.
