I've heard metal/rock songs with WAY better morals then any rap/pop song I've ever heard in my life. There is one band that I listen to that has multiple songs with morals like standing up for yourself, how you can get out of depression, THE FACT THAT PEOPLE HAVE WORSE LIVES THAN YOU AND WHILE YOU'RE CRYING AND THINK IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD BECAUSE YOUR BOYFRIEND BROKE UP WITH YOU PEOPLE ARE FRIKIN' STARVING. The best moral I'VE heard from a pop/rap song is that beauty doesn't matter, and I don't think anyone pays attention to that moral.

rap also tells you a nasty story bout an ugly ass niki minaj f**king several dudes, while metal has songs about overcoming stuff and being strong

depends on what type of rap it is if its flobots or macklemore its just teaching them morals such as "gay marrage is ok" or how the american government can be corrupt

Same with punk rock. Most of Green Day's songs are actually quite articulate and reference real events that have happened.
