I'm atheist and I agree. We gotta study and understand things before disagreeing to it.

And I respect all religions. It's just not my thing.

I was an atheist for many years before becoming a Christian, so I definitely understand what you are saying. Though I do not agree with your beliefs, I respect them and I thank you for your sincerity and respectfulness.

so Christians should study Islam and Muslims should study Christianity? And Christians should also study Buddhism, Hinduism, and all other religions?

Exactly

Impossible. There are too many religions. Unless you want to dedicate your life to studying religion, you'll never succeed

One word: Google

Plus it is best to skip the ones that preach racism and cruelty like Satanism or make absolutely no sense like Scientology

you dont even know what satanism is... (hint: its NOT reverse christianity) And Scientology might make no sense to you, but Christianity makes no sense to me

I know, its still terrible though

Does scientology make sense to you?
0 ups, 10y,

no, but "making sense" is subjective
0 ups, 10y,
1 reply
No it isn't, it either makes sense or it doesn't.

If it makes sense but you don't think it does, then you are either in the wrong mindset or you refuse to understand what it is you don't think makes sense. Scientology is something that makes no sense, Christianity however DOES make sense so...

Neither Christianity nor scientology make sense to me. I'm sure that the people who follow scientology think it males sense. Just like you think Christianity makes sense.

If you're an atheist, that's not bad because nothing is good or bad in true atheism. If you want a standard for good and bad you'll need Jesus.

That does not excuse them, they are still working by stereotypes by assuming all religious people are hateful and bigoted fundamentalists.

Actually there have been almost no wars that have started because of religion. Even the crusades started not because of religion, but because of a desire for money and power. Religion is just a very convenient scapegoat for corrupt leaders and those who don't really study history.

If anything, it is those who have religions who are amongst the most helpful during wars; like missionaries of various religions supplying food and resources to the downtrodden and Christian churches serving as shelters for the homeless and for those whose homes were destroyed.

See? You are doing just what my submission describes

Better? What is good without God? If you want a standard for good and bad you'll need Jesus.

God is simply a myth. Believing in him is illogical. How about this: If god has unlimited power, that means he can create a rock that his so heavy, no one can lift it up. But that means he can't lift it up, hence he has no unlimited power. Do you actually believe in this miracle crap?

Totally signed up for this stupid website specifically for this comment. :)

The Meme:
"Atheists who hate religion" - Most atheists don't "hate" religion, they just don't believe in it.
"Rarely know anything of it" - This seems to indicate that you believe that atheists have no reason to judge or choose not to believe in a religion that they do not understand or know much about. What do you know of the thousands of religions that you deny by being a Christian? I'd guess you know little to nothing about the vast majority, and yet that doesn't stop you from not believing in them. The same goes for atheists, who simply deny one more religion than you.
"Judge off of stereotypes" - This indicates that you have an issue with passing judgment based on stereotypes; with that, let's move to your comments.

The Comments:
"they are still working by stereotypes by assuming all religious people are hateful and bigoted fundamentalists." - Is this not a stereotype that YOU are working by? Certainly not all atheists assume this about religious people.
"Not just a myth my friend, now shut up and look up the answers yourself" Obviously a loving, kind hearted Christian. They're not hateful, people!

I can't even get into the argument about the arc, and I have a simple explanation as to why: there is no debating with a Christian that takes the Bible literally because they have an answer for everything and even if that answer is completely illogical and "breaks the laws of physics", to that person, it is a legitimate argument because "it's God!"
How could the arc have held all of those animals? They were baby animals!
But still, tens of thousands of baby animals on one boat? It was bigger on the inside that it was on the outside!

Arguments such as this simply hold no water (pun intended).

Moral of the story: Don't mention religion on the internet unless you're prepared to be told why you're wrong.

If they post a meme like this that criticizes atheists with bullshit, they ought to expect a response. I HAVE studied religions. Ive read the bible straight thru at least 4 times. I know it better than most Christians do. That's why im an atheist!
0 ups, 8y
What if I told you I HAVE studied religions for 50 years and know the bible better than most Christians I know, and still think its bullshit? Most atheists are atheists because they HAVE read the books.
0 ups, 8y
I don't hate religions. That would be like hating fairy tales. I hate hypocrites who don't practice what their religion preaches.

How are there obviously aliens? And if there are aliens, how does that disprove God? God can create as many races as He wants, if the Bible doesn't say it that means we don't need to know if there are aliens. Who are we to meddle in the affairs of other worlds and their own relationships with God?

There is certainly a lot of evidence used against God, however none of that evidence is actually legit and are just the hateful ramblings of anti-theists.

There are obviously aliens. The universe is enormous and infinite, if there is life on this planet, there is obviously more life out there. The bible does not explain anything about aliens.

Fine. How about this. In the story of Noah's ark, God heartlessly murdered millions of innocent people and billions of animals in a flood. And how can you fit millions of different species of animals on a single ark? that's wooden?
1 up, 10y,
1 reply
First, the people that God "murdered" all refused to believe God and were also extremely violent.

Second, it's actually pretty simple. Baby animals. Also, after the flood, they inbred, which resulted in different varieties of the same species.
2 ups, 10y
Well said, I did not think of the last one. Good theory :)

Other than Noah and his family, every human being on earth was irredeemably evil and pretty much deserved to be overwhelmed by a supernatural natural disaster. Also the deaths of all those animals are justified if the species can continue, its just a different sort of natural selection. Not to mention trillions of animals survived considering most living things on earth thrive in water.

The ark was freaking huge, also it is plausible mostly brought baby creatures onto the ark, that would have saved a large amount of space especially for creatures that come from eggs. If nothing else, God made it so that the ark was bigger on the inside than on the outside, He regularly breaks the laws of physics anyway. A wooden boat survive such an extreme event is just another one of God's epic miracles.

Considering He saved humanity from itself, ensured the survival of all living things, restored our planet back to normal after the flood, and promised never to flood the earth again I would hardly call God heartless.

You are completely reinforcing what I said in my picture, I'm not even going to bother answering any more of your impressively dumb questions.

Regardless though, I wish you nothing but good fortune, may God bless :)

So some guy throws some quotes at you to EXPLAIN and this is your chance for an actual rebuttal (apologetics lol) but you say "you see, this is why you're stupid!"

Great argumentation there. You should be the next William Craig. You're so smart! I'm in awe of your impressive knowledge.

Also your response to the Noah's Ark problem was to ignore the laws of physics. Now prove that it can be f**king done and we'll have a starting point to work from. When have the laws of physics ever been broken and observed?

I know, I'm just an idiot and don't even deserve an argument. Right?
0 ups, 10y
Well excuse me for not wanting to continue a pointless argument :P
