Strange, but that is what happens when you let 30 to 50 million illegal invaders into your country.
The demand for food goes up driving the cost of everything up. The old chicken/egg question.

People gotta eat, buddy, demand always increases price. Not a feeling but it is a fact. BTW even the Bible says 'the LOVE of money is the root of all evil' Communism will never overcome that, did you know that Massachusetts first tried socialism centuries before Marx 'created it'?
"Plymouth Colony initially implemented a communal property system, which led to starvation and poor productivity among the settlers. "

You lost me on that one, I believe a Kibbutz is a Jewish invention in modern times, not familiar with how Jesus Christ promulgated socialism. I've studied most of the major religions, read their sacred texts, but I missed that aspect of Christianity.

Now it is true that Utopian Societies (see Erehwon) were tried over and over again, with some of the most recent being in Waco, Texas, Bob Jones, of course I'm partial to Quakers never could believe Shakers but it takes all kinds you know, and others.

Still, I do not see how the rising of a leader who decided that Utopia could be created from the New Testament could be laid on Jesus who clearly said that you will always have the poor, strife and wars... hardly the fare for Utopias.

Did not Christ say that we are to love our neighbour as ourselves, and it would be easier to pass a camel through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom. Did he not also say that if someone asks for your shirt, give them your jacket as well. I also recall he his injunction to care for the poor, the orphaned, and the widow. What are the aspects of socialism you still don’t understand?

The "loving your neighbor as yourself" refers the fact that you should be fair in your dealings with them, sort of 'if you buy an ox from your neighbor, pay them what it is worth.' Don't take them to the cleaners. Proverbs talks often of this with 'use true scales.'

The camel thing, "it would be easier to pass a camel through the eye of a needle" refers to a gate in the Wall of Jerusalem which was common knowledge at the time. It was a study in protection, if you got to the Gate after dark they would not open it, but there was a opening were you could put your camel on a rug and drag them through the wall. It was easily defensible and only allowed people could enter the city.

The rest of your claims are injunctions to the body of believers (Church) NOT to the government.
Your claims of socialism are therefore a stretch. Since socialism is the State forcing people to its will.

I appreciate your well reasoned arguments. They are rare in this medium. Most of the expressions of Communism in the 20th century were Fascism in disguise. When South American governments, including Cuba rid themselves of Capitalist Interests, the USA was quick to provide insurrectionists with all means necessary to undermine the fledgling governments, to maintain their status as the most formidable predator of recorded history

Utopia is not the objective. Preserving our humanity is

Was that the humanity practiced by the socialists of Pol Pot? Well, no need to go into that, there are so many depressing examples... The bottom line is that of the myriad political systems, almost all have killed millions except for The Great Experiment. Is American capitalism the best? Based on the number of illegals storming into America, it must be. Even China's use of quasi-capitalism is ingrained in its longevity. Typically a socialist/communist state has a life of seventy-five years, give or take a few years. 1949 is a hard line in the sand. Will the CCP's foray into using elements of capitalism be the glue to hold onto power? The clock seems to be still ticking...according to data I watch.

I’m not American, although born there. From my understanding America was founded on the principles of Freedom, Justice, and Equality for all. Capitalism was never mentioned as an integral part of the GREAT EXPERIMENT

At Eggman Enterprises, we don't experience the thing you call 'hunger'. In fact, we don't experience fatigue, boredom, thirst, or lack of oxygen (despite an ungodly amount of air pollution). But our work production and work morale is so great, you can almost say it isn't human!

Good point. If I were a simpleton, I too wouldn't dare fall into the trap of being forced to be converted into a robotic henchmen programmed to serve his master's command

And yet everything but beef is cheaper now than during Bidenomics. A bag of Frozen chicken is $10 now. It was$15. Eggs were $13 bucks. They're $1.40 now.
