It's all very simple
-Overall numbers make white people look bad.
-Per capita numbers make minorities look bad.
-Liberals inexplicably forget the 'per capita' part every single time forever.... Which I'm sure is a complete coincidence and in no way intentional

Yeah. It's just such a cheap attempt I can't believe they can get away with it. I'm Danish and am pretty sure that if anyone on the left tries this twist, they'll get laughed at by their own. Our government has always used per capita to pinpoint a problem to try and fix it.
If I talk about an uncharming immigration statistic, a lefty won't deny it, but rather look suspicious at me with the expectation that my reason for mentioning it in the first place is deeply racist

You can't see that it's a reaction towards the racist black guy (whom I made to look downs on top) who don't understand statistics? Comparing a white guy's ignorant race-statement to a redneck or KKK (perhaps with downs) would be the typical race-swap version.
When you quit the 'racism can only be seen through power' narrative, it's a racist response towards a racist statement, which is only fair... and more importantly, fun
