It's true that AI has not delivered on its promises, but I'm not worried about AI killing us. What I am worried about is terrorists blowing up AI data centers, killing hundreds or thousands of people, and then justifying their actions by saying "We had to kill AI before it killed us."
If that does happen, will K-12 English teachers and college English professors pool their money to bail the terrorists out the same way so many women are raising millions to bail out Lindsay Clancy? If that doesn't scare you, it should.
