Most people haven't thought this out. I grew up in Appalachia in the 70s after mechanization destroyed the coal industry.
Unemployment was an epidemic. It never really recovered.
Now imagine every business out there replacing hourly wage employees with AI & robots.
You ain't seen nothing yet vis a vis high Unemployment.
The AI doesn't have to be mean or malicious to destroy our culture so the tech bros can make more bucks.
