One common accepted Catholic teaching about Revelation is flat out wrong. Many priests teach the events in Revelation happened, that Nero was the antichrist, etc.
That's patently untrue. If you've read it you know it's a prophecy. It's not John of Padmos reciting current events in Metaphor which is a standard teaching.
Of course some protestants fall for False Doctrines too. Nobody ever heard of the Rspture until the 1850s when John Nelson Darby literally pulled it outta his ass.
Revelation is very clear - Christians will be martyred during the end times.
