Is it okay to give up on your dreams as long as you hold onto your liberty and your religion? Not everything is possible. Also, I prefer to replace the word "dreams" with "goals". "Dreams" sounds too disconnected from reality, and "goals" sounds more grounded. I think everyone's goals change as they age.
Here's an alternative to socialism: Take a job you can actually get even if it's a job you don't really want, and find fulfillment in other things such as hobbies and/or relationships.
