It's time to continue my headcanon plotline of Quest Sprout's story.

You can check out the previous chapter here: imgflip.com/i/b032h8#com40471215

The Dream Princess keeps opening windows from the Dream Realm to the mortal realm to alert everyone who previously helped Quest Sprout (or vice versa) that he and Momma Sprout are trapped in the now corrupted Dream Realm, with Eternal seeking revenge against them. Once everyone is in the Dream Realm, they begin searching for the Sprouts while discussing what the plan is to save them.

However, everyone's fears begin manifesting*, sabotaging their search. They seemingly find Momma Sprout, who is enraged that they put Quest Sprout in danger, and begins attacking them with her powers. While the others beg for forgiveness, the Dream Princess tells them it's not actually Momma, and that it's a manifestation of her, representing their shared fear of being punished for endangering Quest Sprout. Because nobody conquered their fears back in the mortal realm, everyone is too scared to face the manifestations and runs away from them, continuing their search for the Sprouts.

*Everyone minus the Dream Princess, because she's a dream being, and dream beings don't sleep/have dreams or nightmares.

Meanwhile, the Sprouts, just a couple minutes after facing their fears, hear a loud noise, seeing Eternal's army of nightmare demons charging at them. They work together to fight the demons, getting slightly injured in the process. The army splits into two groups, one going after Momma Sprout while the other surrounds Quest Sprout and grabs him. When she sees that her son is about to be mauled to death, Momma Sprout LOCKS THE F**K IN and brutally kills all the demons. She then comforts Quest Sprout and uses magic to heal his injuries. He in turn does the same with hers.

Eternal, dumbfounded that the Sprouts survived, finally loses his s**t and prepares to set out to kill them. Pest Sprout tries to get him to stop, only for Eternal to give him an ultimatum, where he either helps him kill the Sprouts, and he will be spared, or not help him, and face the punishment of death.

After fighting his demon army, the Sprouts, against their own interests, decide to face Eternal once and for all if it means they can finally wake up and leave the corrupted Dream Realm.

In his giant sword form, Eternal flies across the realm and finds the Sprouts. He then destroys the ground, causing them to float in the air. Momma Sprout says how she and Quest Sprout conquered all their fears, to which Eternal says

"All but one."

as he grabs the Sprouts with his tentacles, separating them from each other. He then monologues about how the Sprouts were foolish to think they could escape him, that they thought the nightmare was over, yadda yadda yadda. As he talks, The Sprouts use the power of mind to blast rays of light into his eye, blinding him for a few seconds, and free themselves from his grip. They then begin fighting Eternal with every bit of strength they've got.

They dodge/counterattack Eternal's spells and fight off more demons he summons, but Eternal manipulates the Dream Realm into violently slamming the Sprouts onto a floating island. He then summons his halberd, preparing to end their lives. The Sprouts can only tearfully hug each other as they brace themselves for death.

Just when Eternal is about to kill the Sprouts as well as eliminate the entire godly light element from the universe, the Sword-Breathing Dragon appears and blasts swords at him. The Dream Princess, the Good Knight, Langeschwert, Mincer, Hack, and Hash, riding into the air via the former two's horses and the Questing Beast, swarm Eternal to distract him so the Sprouts can get back up.

Everyone else, including Lake Queen (who suspected that Eternal was going to enact revenge) shows up to help the Sprouts defeat Eternal. Eternal unleashes his Sleep Paralysis spell, aiming it at the Sprouts. Everyone else unleashes their inner light to give the Sprouts a much-needed powerup so they can create a very strong light spell to counterattack. The spells get blasted, but Eternal's spell starts to overtake the Sprouts' spell. Pest Sprout, ignoring the consequences he may face, blasts Eternal from behind, causing him to stop his spell and get blasted by the light spell.

Harpe, Joyeuse, and Cutbert, after defeating Unspeakable Darkness (or whatever Demon Sword was defeated after her), enter the Dream Realm in pursuit of killing Eternal, who gets shrunken back to his normal sword size and crashes to the undestroyed ground in the distance. Harpe slices him with the reforged Godsword of Water, Eternal being defeated once and for all.

The Dream Realm turns back to normal, everyone's manifested fears forcefully disappearing because of it. Everyone confesses to Momma Sprout about all the times they accidentally put Quest Sprout in danger, to which Momma says that she knows already, but isn't mad at them, since the universe is filled with danger. She even forgives Pest Sprout, who feels a bunch of remorse for helping Eternal.

Now, we don't know what happens when a Demon Sword dies. We saw how the Field of Darkness disappeared when Unspeakable was defeated.* Was it solely because of her death? Was it because Kargob's curse was broken when she died? There was also an implication that the Demon Swords all have a realm in the universe, Unspeakable's realm being a shapeless void of darkness.** Did that realm disappear? We also don't know if Boundless Hunger being sent to the Godrealm counts as him dying. Is the Hunger Realm still there?

The point is, Matthew hasn't established if the Demon Swords being alive keeps their realms as well as their creations alive, too. This is where one of two endings could happen:

- The Dream Realm stays, with the Dream Princess becoming its true ruler, and Pest Sprout being adopted into the Sprout family.

- Pest Sprout withering away (because Eternal's death invalidates his existence), and the others escaping the Dream Realm collapsing, with the Dream Princess and other native beings forced to be erased with it, since they can't leave the realm.

As much as I'd like the former to happen, chances are the latter's more likely. It would be very bittersweet that Pest Sprout quite literally sacrificed himself so that the Sprouts could be saved and stay together as a family.

And after all of that, the Sprouts' story ends with them finally being safe, and ready to be used for whatever future plot in the series Matthew needs them for.

What did you guys think of my plotline? I put a lot of thought into it and hope you enjoyed reading it for the past few threads. Whether it's accurate to what Matthew has in store for the Sprouts, we'll have to wait and see.

Thx for reading! :)
