He's allegedly a guy who says what he means and means what he says and one of the things he's said is that he loves the poorly educated. Of course, as a multiple-times exposed grifter & con-artist, convicted criminal, it tracks that he loves ignorant people because they're easier to con. Or... we could look at it terms of the reasoning behind the CCP rounding up all the scholars once it took power: they had to go lest they cause trouble -with them gone there'd be no-one to question the Party line, push back when the Party engaged in naked corruption, murdered citizens in the street, ignored/actively violated the law, forced anyone they didn't like into camps, no-one left but the ignorant dumbasses lined up to clap their hands, stamp their feet and sing along, okey-doke whatever the Party did. So, naturally, it makes sense that Dear Leader is so interested in shutting down the Department of Education.
