Medicare part b is currently $202.90, I have Cigna for scripts $63, and a Blue Cross Supplemental for $187. And that 'low' rate for Blue Cross is only available if you take a policy from day #1 of signing for Medicare. Decide to get one once you realize Advantage plans in some states are a real hand job? Double that.
And even with all that, there's still a $283 deductible every year. (2026 rate)
(not a 'free' Advantage plan) Which sounds like a great idea as long as you have no assets, and never are unlucky enough to end up with an extended stay in a hospital to go bankrupt from. Add obscene copays, and bills 3 months later from some radiologist that read your X ray that "isn't in your network"
