Along with several other factors recent events have led me to the conclusion that ImgFlip is not the place for this kind of community. I am working on a new Discord server that I hope to migrate as many of our regulars here to as possible in an effort to create a more stable place for us to congregate and interact. I understand this will not be ideal for everyone, and I am welcoming other options, but this is the most likely scenario going forward right now.
Over the next week I will continue making similar announcements in an effort to spread awareness while I set up this new server in hopes of creating a digital haven/oasis for our community. Once that is done and a week or so has passed my current plan is to leave the content already here available for posterity, but cancel all future posting to take a stand against the current standards allowed by this website and its owners and moderators. If someone else disagrees and would like to create or follow other ND content on here that is your decision, but it will not be on this stream. I will not go into details regarding this decision publicly, but I will repeat that I do not feel this website is currently safe for people like us anymore.
If you do not want to join a NEW Discord server from someone without a currently strong social media presence I recommend Neurodivergent Tea Party as a great, well established community already on Discord. I am trying to create something a little bit different and newer, but have had several positive experiences on their server over the years and understand wanting something more developed. If however, like me, you have felt that this site is not what it used to be and is catering to a demographic you feel unsafe sharing digital space with, join me on this new endeavor to a place where free thought and open discussions are welcome provided they harm no one and include everyone.
