This was true about 12 years ago. I think Silver is worth even more now. About 12 years ago we washed a police car at a town I worked in and some of the change looked different under a street light.
My partner saw they were old coins made before 1963 with silver in them. Next day he took em to a pawn shop and got $5 each for every 1962 quarter.
