I don't know dudes... I think god will forgive all of us if we get this piece of lore wrong. Doesn't actually seem that important to being a good person. I think that's what god cares about the most.

Agreed.
I’m not referring to how it might affect our salvation. It doesn’t.
Just sayin’… it’s such a mind blowing concept to wrap our minds around. Then comes the part of explaining it to a non-believer.

Sorry that's heresy, the trinity is probably THE most important doctrine of the church, and it is very important you get it right

According to the early church who, btw, collected the writings we now know as the Bible and established beliefs heard by Christians today

The Romans threw away all the Jewish traditions and beliefs that Jesus believed.

Many Jewish traditions were laws of the old testament, many of which were for the kingdom of Israel specifically, others were for the temple, but since both of those no longer exist, the laws no longer apply to us. The kingdom of Israel was dissolved and the temple was destroyed, so those laws meant for the kingdom and the temple don't matter anymore. However many traditions were traditions of men, which Jesus condemns in Matthew 15, which makes it VERY clear he did not obey nor believe them. Secondly the laws of the old testament were fulfilled in Jesus, because he was the only one able to stay 100% obedient to the Father. Because he fulfilled the law, some laws we don't have to follow today, such as not eatish shellfish and not to wear garments of mixed threads. But some of the laws still apply because 1.they are basic morality and 2. They can be found again in the new testament. An example of this would be the sin of Homosexuality both condemned in leviticus and Roman's 1:26-27. Also, just to clarify, Jesus didn't believe everything in Judaism from the time. Like I said before, some traditions were created by men, not by Jesus, who is God incarnate as a man.

Again. Not for the pagans to decide.

Oh, that makes sense to what you've been trying to say. There's a reason you guys were declared a heresy not ever 200 years into Christianity. Praying for you man

Gnostic.

Your screenshot backs up my point actually, it says paganism refers to people who believe in something outside of the main Abrahamic religions. However like I said Constantine and much of the Roman Empire converted to Christianity, and stopped being pagans
1 up, 1w
no. It said dominant faith.

Are you trying to say Christianity was pagan?
1 up, 1w
Yeah. At the time. That's why so many Christian practices are similar to polytheistic practices. It was bastardized by pagans.

This was not determined by the pagans this was AFTER Constantine converted to Christianity and started the first church council, concil of Nicaea, in which all the BISHOPS of the time gathered into one place to verify Christian beliefs with everyone else and to set a groundwork for what Chistians actually believe in. This is where we get the Nicene creed

By definition... That's still pagan.

That is objectively untrue. Either prove it with evidence or else we aren’t going to listen to you. Because that is crazier than saying the earth he is flat.

Bro did you not read the rest of the messages, he's a gnostic, which is why I stopped talking to him since I realized that he's not going to listen. Don't argue with fools man
0 ups, 1d
That was a joke actually haha. I'm Agnostic.
0 ups, 1d
I don't think y'all would listen anyway. The Bible is a piece of literature. It's impossible to have an objective interpretation.

And the 4 gospels, and Hebrews, 1 Corinthians, Colossians, 2 Timothy, 1 John, and Revelation.

That’s not what the scriptures say. This is starting to sound like you’re saying if we are “good enough” and “do enough good deeds” then God will love us. The Bible rejects that works-based love of God. God loves us whether we do good or not, it’s our faith and trust in Him that saves us - not our good deeds which the scriptures say are nothing but “filthy rags” compared to Gods standard of righteousness.

I don't think most people would want to live in a heaven with that specific type of God.

Bro that's why hell is known as the broad way, cause most people going to go to hell
0 ups, 22h
According to what you say we need to do that's not true at all.
0 ups, 1d
It’s not as hard to understand as we make it out to be. The scriptures say the God is love by His very nature. What we know about love flows out of who our Maker is. God eternally existed as three divine persons: the Holy Father, Holy Son, and Holy Ghost. Love requires a giver and a receiver who then shares that love with the giver.
That God is triune means that He is an eternal community of love within Himself. Not one being who needs to make something in order to love something.
