Back when I was at school I mostly stopped going to classes when I was around 15 because it just seemed like a waste of time

(Head teacher already acknowledged that realistically no online college or any plausible job is going to check grades so theres no repercussions to just lying about it, which is what I did..
38 now and yeah nobody ever checked. Didnt even do the online college, just said I did lol)

Anyway I couldn't leave the school grounds for entire days because otherwise it switches from 'late' to 'truancy' so I just sat in the library going through reference books.
Now here's an example among many:

I read the biology reference book cover to cover, forwards and backwards, up and down.
I basically memorized that book. I took every online test that physically existed covering the entire 200+ page book and passed with anywhere between 90-100% every time, even for higher class curriculums.

After a couple months of that the principal caught wind and told me I can't be in the library during classes so I went back (for maybe a week...lol).
I came back and in that time the class had gone from (for example..) page 48 to ....page 49

If I ever get around to having kids I'm absolutely never sending them to a school. Absolute waste of time for all involved.

Given how you turned out, I'd say absolutely.
Someone spending 10 hours a day posting endless nonsense , upvoting themselves on alt accounts on a subsection of a tiny website is a perfect example someone out there whose parents were clearly too busy to do their job, leaving most of it to public schools instead.

Lol in my state the local superintendent asked publicly for a raise to make over 600k.... To sit in a air conditioned office and do what all day? I say the factory workers making sure the country runs smoothly, and those working in the hot heat should receive the six figures and days off to spend with family... But oh know our multi million dollar school system needs the tax funded money. I'm sorry but if families had more time to spend with their kids instead of working for peanuts, the kids might know how to read, but also some parents are bad parents, so we need classes for the parents to teach their kids the school lesson. Public schools are not life schools but they have turned into that. Unfortunately it's a systemic thing. Think of how much money a tax payer could save if parents were responsible for educating their children... The Amish do it. At least their not killing the children, but they do set some up for failure.... So idk. Just as long as they don't repeat history like they did in native American schools.
