I like landscape better because it takes up the whole screen should you decide to view your videos/photos on a computer or TV screen.

Exactly. It allows for more of the important stuff to be captured. If wanted, you can edit it to make one area more pronounced.

I think some people don’t realize they can do it. They ALWAYS film or photo in portrait.
