Maher used to be the darling of the left but Maher stayed where he has always been and the left has moved off into insanity. He just won't go down that path.

Now the left is throwing Maher under the bus because he won't march off into la la land. Kid Rock got him to meet with Trump and they parted friends. Maher had Vance on his show and he liked him. Maher said it will either be Vance or Rubio in 2028 and because the Democrats have turned into moronic clowns (my words not his) he might vote for a Republican.

Recently, when Bill Maher had a special interview with JD Vance. Bill said this his "vote is in play" to JD Vance and said that if the Democrats keep getting worse, he could see himself voting for a Vance or Rubio.

I saw a clip from that show. Those are words that I never thought would escape Maher's mouth. He tried to say he never voted party and he just thought the Democrats always had the best message.

I have never watched Maher's show but I just keep seeing clips show up everywhere I go online. Over the years he seems like he is finding out that so much of the leftist dogma is idiotic. But he refuses to admit that he has change and he is not moving right.

Bill Maher Real Time | Bill maher often says, "I haven't changed. the democrat party's agenda has changed" | image tagged in bill maher real time | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
I was a bigger fan of Bill Maher's standup comedy and older show, "Politically Incorrect" (back when that was the joke). In recent years, his "Real Time" show has gotten funnier. A lot of times the leftists jokes land flat, but sometimes he really hits a funny joke that's right down the middle and not an insult, just an old-fashion Johnny Carson-style joke.

I used to watch the Daily Show first with Craig Kilborn and then Jon Stewart. Kilborn was really funny and I don't know why the got rid of him. Stewart was really funny up until about the time Jon Kerry ran against George W Bush. Kerry was a walking joke generator but Stewart started to get real popular at that time and either it was his choice or, more likely, the choice of Viacom that he not make any jokes at all about Kerry. I was very disappointed because up until that time he was pretty fair, for a Democrat, on who he roasted. Naturally he made fun of Republicans more than Democrats but not by much. When Kerry ran Stewart never again roasted a Democrat. Kerry made it so easy for any comedian to make fun of but not a single joke from Stewart or anyone else, for that matter, was make about Kerry. I still watched The Daly Show a few more years but eventually it just stopped being funny. Then they replaced Stewart with that other guy and he was less funny than Stewart.

And the thing is I don't blame Jon Stewart for not being funny. I think he can be a really funny guy if you untie his hands. When you're jokes become completely one sided they tend to just be repeats of previous jokes and they become less and less based on reality and that is exactly what happened to Stewart. In order for some jokes (not all) they have to have an element of truth to them. Stewarts jokes were based on Democrat fantasy instead of truth like they used to be.

This is why Kimmel and Colbert's late night shows flopped. They were too one sided and the jokes were based on Democrat fantasy rather than any kind of truth. Fallon still is commanded to lampoon Republicans but he doesn't base his show around it. He does is obligatory anti-Republican/anti-Trump jokes and then he is done and is all about having fun. That is why his show isn't suffering as badly as Kimmel and Colbert. Kimmel and Colbert are true believers and very devout to the Democrat party. Fallon is all about having fun.

If the Democrats weren't such major control freaks and if they didn't control the media they probably would be laughed out of existence, either that or the Democrats would not have gotten away with 90% of every piece of crap they shoved and still try to shove down everyone's throats.

I never watched Maher because he always came across as smug and full of himself.
