That's just awful. The refs ignored that punch, so the WNBA had to step in and suspend Alyssa Thomas. And to make matters worse, the Phoenix Mercury coach actually defended Alyssa Thomas for what she did.

I don’t think another player in the WNBA, and probably not even in the NBA, has been on the receiving end of so much violence.
