I understand why people think this, but the Democrat Party has ALWAYS been a force for evil.
Starting with slavery, then waging the Civil War in order to protect and expand it.
Jim Crow.
The KKK.
Segregation.
Lynchings.
Opposition to every effort to grant rights to black people.
Building abortion mills in predominantly black neighborhoods: black people make up 13% of this country, yet account for as much as 41% of all abortions.
Open borders.
Disastrous Economic Policy.
Disastrous Energy Policy.
They did not get where they are today without the immoral and wicked paths they travelled in the past to get here.
There is no redeeming these wicked people by sugar coating the past.
