Well listen to this. When COVID started, my city got hit by 3 tornadoes, a lot not the houses took heavy damage. Most homes got repaired within a year because COVID slowed things down, except one hose that never got repaired. Reason why the hose never got repaired was because it belonged to people in India living in a rural part of India and they were renting that house and living from it, and because of COVID travel bans they could not fly back to USA. So there are many people who own land with property in USA, who are renting that land to Americans, while they live in their country that has a lower cost of living as kings.

Yes I am aware and in my state although they just changed the tax lien ownership problem, you can pay for someone's tax lien and then after a couple years of paying for the tax lien you own the property.

I know some states have changed laws regarding this issue targeting out of country corporations. I guess we're so concerned about national security that we didn't change the law on massive land ownership for foreign countries or non citizens, or dule citizens. The irony is that we put our own military bases in foreign countries... But to be smart about it, we shouldn't allow foreign countries to purchase American soil. And to that extent corporations are not citizens but because I guess the government gave corporations the same constitutional rights, they can purchase American soil. It's just a matter of time till a corporation goes roge.

Well, not even talking about corporations here. Land is also a limited resource and what they are doing because is not regulated or those people are finding loopholes, they are also driving cost if housing. But it is happening, it is real. I think we should be like Mexico, where you buying a home means you are basically renting that property from them for a set amount of time if you are a foreigner, then eventually you give it back. So in other countries you do not get to own their land.

That's kinda like an allotment situation the government " gave land to native Americans" yet they still don't own it.... Idk if you pay taxes on a property and insure it and transfer the deeds down a family. Lineage I wouldn't want to be subject to loosing a property that was worked hard for continuouslly. .
. But we live in a greedy world. And lease agreements that last 99 years are out there but stipulations on land lease agreements are sticky. ... Like pay the taxes and never own the property, then get robbed by the landlord. It's known as a Scully lease. It's also due to a Irish man taking a opportunity and running with it. That family is rich and still takes advantage of poor families that tried to farm during the depression, and farm after the war.
